Pam,
You're hired! When you retire, I want you to move to Lancaster and help my wife and I finish raising our sons. Your method is straightforward and authentic. I am certain that you are effective with most every child. Keep doing what you are doing. You ooze confidence and ability. Long may you run!

Pam,
ReplyDeleteI can use much of your materials, especially the page we discussed today, with my freshmen. They make some of the same mistakes--almost to the point of picking wedgies.
I enjoyed the humor because, as Mary Poppins says, "A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down."
The volume level activity was quite helpful.
I also appreciate how you are improving their oral communications to help them be more successful in the upper grades.
Nice tie between writing and speaking.
Pam, That was really inspiring - I really need to work on this part of my class - I appreciate having your handy handouts - Going to use this!
ReplyDeletePam, when you're finished with Brett's boys, come and help me with mine!
ReplyDeleteNice job, Pam! I love your attention to this very important skill for students. I have done show-n-tell with my 5th graders who may bring in appropriate objects to share with the class but they first must develop a speech to present. I am going to 'Steele' your plans and incorporate my speech as one of their required speeches.
ReplyDeleteGreat Job!!!
