One more great example of letting go and seeing the reflexivity of our writing.
My head opens again as the realizations come pouring in. Lots of "aha" moments for me today and Murray is the frosting on the cake. I love his writing style and am sure will read at least parts of his book again before school begins.

I'm amazed at the trust we are beginning to place in each other. There is also a humility mixed with confidence that sets a real academic tone.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I'd call Murray frosting. Maybe brown beans--dull, but good for a pop.
Murray presents an alternative attitude. He's very thesis oriented and "top down." His insistence there has to be but one plum, and that has to be at the center of the tart--well, it's not essayistic in the Qualley sense.
ReplyDeleteI really like Murray and he is an easy read compared to Qualley (I have gotten so much from her writing, but need to read and reread and reread.......etc, etc!!!!!!).
